  • Step 1

To install the grill plate, slide it into the front of the base so it hooks in, then press down on the back until it clicks into place. Place flat plate on top of grill plate so it sits flat.

  • Step 2

Select FLAT PLATE, set temperature to 200°C and set time to 14 minutes. Close lid and Press the dial to begin preheating, (approximately 9 minutes).

  • Step 3

Separate minced beef into 4 equal portions. Roughly shape the beef into flat, thin patties, approximately 12cm wide and 1cm thick.

  • Step 4

Season the patties on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, if using.

  • Step 5

When unit beeps to signify it has preheated, open lid and use a non-metal spatula to add the burgers to the flat plate. Firmly press each burger down for 5 seconds. Leave lid open while cooking.

  • Step 6

When unit beeps and the display reads FLIP, flip the burgers and cook for 4 minutes.

  • Step 7

If a more well-done burger is desired, add an additional 2–3 minutes. Add the cheese, close the lid, and cook until melted, about 2 minutes.

  • Step 8

When cooking is done, remove the burgers. Add the burger buns to the flat plate and toast for 2-3 minutes. Once toasted, remove the buns and build burgers with desired toppings.
