Hummus with Zataar & Pitta Chips

An easy recipe for delicious creamy Hummus with Zataar and Pomegranate.

Ingredients

For the hummus

  • 400g tin of Chickpeas, drained
  • 3 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Tahini
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil for serving
  • 1/2 tsp Zataar
  • 1 tbsp Pomegranate Aerils

For the pitta chips

  • 2 Pitta Bread, cut into triangles
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika

Cooking mode

Method

  • Step 1

    Place chickpeas in a bowl of water and rub together between your hands to peel the skin.

  • Step 2

    Transfer Chickpeas to a food processor. Blend thoroughly scraping down the sides in between.

  • Step 3

    Add the Lemon Juice, Tahini, Garlic and Salt and 2 ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust as needed.

  • Step 4

    Place into a bowl and smooth with the back of a spoon.

  • Step 5

    Sprinkle over Zataar and Pomegranate.

  • Step 6

    Preheat the oven to 200 C, Gas Mark 6.

  • Step 7

    Spread Pitta triangles on an oven tray.

  • Step 8

    Drizzle over oil and paprika. Toss together.

  • Step 9

    Bake for 10-15 minutes.
