Roast Chicken

This roast chicken is roasted with a flavoured butter under the skin. You can add any flavours to the butter such as tarragon, rosemary, parsley, and spices.

  • 4lb Skin on Chicken
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 45g Butter
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Spice mix of choice or finely chopped herbs (optional)
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic crushed Olive
  • Oil, to drizzle over

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!


  • Step 1

    Pat the chicken dry. Season inside and out with salt and pepper.

  • Step 2

    Add the butter, spices or herbs of your choice and garlic to a bowl and whisk together. Season. Set unit to preheat and select roast.

  • Step 3

    Set temperature to 190c and set timer to 40 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Loosen the skin of the chicken gently. Push the butter under the skin until the entire crown is covered, season the Chicken.

  • Step 5

    Drizzle over olive oil and add a little more salt & pepper.

  • Step 6

    Tie the legs with twine.

  • Step 7

    Roast for 20 minutes breast side down and then flip for the remaining 20 minutes.

  • Step 8

    Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
